Soloxine Side Effects

If Soloxine is given at the proper dose as determined by blood tests there should be no side effects. Overdose will result in the symptoms of thyrotoxicosis which may include increased thirst, urination and hunger, hyperactivity, personality change, and reduced heat tolerance.

If your pet has been put on Soloxine by your vet, it may be used on a long-term basis. Because this drug may have other affects, you may want to monitor your pet's health periodically. This may require periodic exams or blood tests to check thyroid levels.
